Ever try a Sidecar?
Sticking with the drink theme for today, I had one of these the other night as part of a unnamed hotel lobby bar’s spring drink menu. Pretty damn good. Served in a martini glass rimmed with sugar. Closest recipe I’ve found is here.
Sidecar
2 ounces Brandy (cognac)
1 ounce Cointreau
1/2 ounce lemon juice
Shake with ice. Strain into cocktail glass.
The only real problem with reproducing this enjoyable beverage is the cost of the Cointreau.
