2 days of unemployment
On Wednesday and Thursday I didn’t have a job. Today I am back at my old job. You gotta love contracting.
Wednesday I actually came into the office thinking I’d be signing contracts or at least have a temporary assignment. After the morning passed and none of my calls were returned, I went home!
Thursday I stayed home too. After updating my resume and sending it out, I played with the kids, helped out a friend, had a doctor’s appointment, played Gears of War. A very good day. In the afternoon I called my program manager again and this time he was there. “Where are you?!” he asked. I told him I was at home. He didn’t bother to call me earlier to tell me everything was settled and to come in.
And I am here today. Now, what do I do with those other nice-looking opportunities I found while unemployed??
